To put it bluntly, yes they did. A lot.
Numerous stories, involving all four Beatles, have surfaced since their break-up and some have even been known since their early days in Hamburg and the Cavern Club.
Despite all of The Beatles being married at one point, all four members indulged in numerous covert, adulterous affairs.
During their ten-year career, The Beatles changed the face of popular culture forever. This year marked the fiftieth anniversary of their break up and their unprecedented legacy shows no signs of deteriorating.
The Fab Four were seen as less controversial compared to other contemporary bands such as The Rolling Stones, The Doors, and The Kinks. Despite not being as raucous as some of their peers, The Beatles still indulged heavily in the rockstar lifestyle.
The revelation is among a string of fascinating stories about the band in the book PAUL McCARTNEY: The Biography, by Philip Norman , which is published by Weidenfeld & Nicolson.
The book, which was written with the authorisation of McCartney, details the extraordinary set up so the band could unwind after gigs and travel.

Did John Lennon sleep with fans?
Perhaps the most famous of all The Beatles.
Lennon’s behaviour during his marriage to Cynthia Powell has been widely documented but his adulterous behaviour has gone under the radar somewhat. In a 1970 interview for Rolling Stone magazine, Lennon compared Beatles tours to the sexually explicit 1969 film Satriycon. ‘‘When we hit town, we hit it, we were not p*ssing about” – he later added.
Lennon famously dated Yoko Ono in secret whilst he was still married to Cynthia. In 1968, he admitted to cheating on his wife regularly.
The relationship between John and Yoko and the affairs is in itself grounds for a new article.
Did Paul McCartney sleep with fans?
Paul McCartney was arguably the most promiscuous member of The Beatles, despite history recording that it was John, interviews since the 1970s have revealed quite a different picture.
During Paul’s relationship with Jane Asher, there were a string of affairs, many occurring with Beatles fans. Jane actually returned from a filming location abroad to find Paul in bed with someone else.
His cheating decimated an already rocky relationship and served as the basis for many Beatles songs such as I’m Looking Through You and For No One. When McCartney and Lennon first met in 1957, Lennon was already aware of Paul’s nature as the promiscuous ”town bull” (as he put it).
Several stories of Paul’s escapades have become apparent. He seems to have slept with fans and groupies a lot more than the other members.
Did George Harrison sleep with fans?
Despite his reputation as the ‘quiet one’, George Harrison’s sex life was anything but.
He met Pattie Boyd on the set of A Hard Day’s Night in 1964 and later married her. However, his marriage to her was littered with affairs conducted on the road, many with groupies.

Did Ringo Starr sleep with fans?
During the early days of Beatlemania, Ringo Starr was perhaps the most popular Beatle with female fans.
His ‘everyman’ looks and dry, sardonic sense of humour perhaps made him more relatable in the eyes of the public.
Ringo’s first wife Maureen Cox was a 17-year-old Beatles fan who had made an impression on the drummer with her attractiveness. Soon, they were dating.
Despite being the oldest Beatle, Starr regularly engaged in affairs with groupies, especially during their touring years of 1960-66. However, the extent of Starr’s womanizing isn’t nearly as prominent as the other members.
The Beatles, like many other rock bands, regularly engaged in sexual relationships with fans. Despite their early image as clean-cut, wholesome young men, their escapades on the road tell an entirely different story.
Did the Beatles sleep with Groupies?
The fans of a band are generally known as groupies and the answers in this article apply to groupies because these were also fans of the band. We’ve included this point because it is also a frequently asked question and perhaps many people do not know the difference between a fan and a groupie.
Which Beatle was the biggest womaniser?
Legend has usually held John Lennon up as the most promiscuous of the four lads, however, thanks to more evidence uncovering (and direct admissions from interviews) it looks like Paul and George played the part of womanizer more than John did.
